Duna and Back rescue help, plz

Hello,

I've gotten to the stage in my ksp career that I want to make a land and return trip to Duna, so I set out and did quite well, I got to duna landed, did tons of science tried to leave but it seems I underestimated Dunas atmo and so I just got moved to the North Pole, not complaining that's like another 1500 science. But I can't seem to be able to make a craft able to land on duna and back. So here I am and asking for all your guys expertise any help would be appreciated.

Btw this is a rescue craft so no need to spend weight on science, I also don't know if this post has to go int thigh post or craft exchange I'm new here so excuse me.

I had the same problem but i gladly made it into in orbit around the sun. Duna is much harder now i would say.

Screenshots of your rocket would be useful.

Do you know the delta-v of your rocket ?

If you don't know it, I suggest installing Kerbal Engineer Redux which is extremely useful.

If you're really desperate, I made it to Duna and back in 0.90 with this craft.

Considering delta-v requirements has gone smaller for Kerbin Orbit in 1.0, it should be the same for Duna so that do it.

I haven't tried interplanetary in 1.0.x so I don't guarantee the result
