So... how do you light 'er up?

I\'ve built my first rocket, but I can\'t get it to launch. If I hit throttle up and hit space, the stage light starts flashing reddish-purple and green, I hear a thunking-crash sound, and nothing proceeds to happen.

I\'m at a total loss! Is there some special trick to lighting the fuse?

Make those decouplers have there own stage. All that\'s happening is you are popping off your stages before they can fire.

... and I\'ve achieved orbit! 1.5 tanks of fuel left, almost all of my RCS, and I\'ve got an orbit between ~100km and ~350km. Appears to be exactly on the ecliptic. Not too shabby!
