Can't update to v1.0.2 (from v1.0)

The launcher just sits there saying that it is checking for updates, the patcher says something about bad data after logging in, and Google Chrome downloads it most of the way and then pops up saying it can be harmful to browsing and thus has been blocked. What to do...?
