White Owl
For now, they look cool. Later on they\'ll intake air.

0muffins0
Actually if you right click the engines during flight the air intakes seem to give the engines a bit of a boost.
Vampereon
For now, they look cool. Later on they\'ll intake air.they already do, right click on an engine like muffins said and it shows how much air it gets etc but for example the ram intake works best at high speeds and altitudes so if you make a low altitude plane you dont need an intake
rspeed
They don\'t do anything. If you look in the part.cfg they\'re simply defined as struts, and there\'s no configuration related to performance.
semininja
And yet, it seems they still make a difference. I\'ve looked in the .cfg\'s myself, and you\'re right, there\'s nothing there, but they still affect airflow.I think it\'s because the intake stuff is defined in the engine .cfg\'s, actually. Could be wrong though.

Could be wrong though.Intake stuff (including fans) are currently in the engine CFG files. No idea if it\'ll stay that way.

IIRC, that will be moved to the intakes in a later update - no promises on which!
