are RSS planets doomed to be glitchy swamps forever?

ive always wondered about that, I love real solar system but at the same time the planets always have very troublesome surfaces, responding very poorly to rovers, often fallen through, texture separated from hitbox. is there any way to fix these things? or is it inevitable that such precision would be impossible?

whats your experience?

The appeal of RSS is in flying, not in driving. The PQS system has resolution problems because it's designed for the itty bitty Ceres-sized planets of the stock system; scaling it up doesn't really work. Things might have changed in the latest update and we'll see how Kopernicus treats RSS once NathanKell et al have moved it over.

Oh hey, maybe we'll get Ceres in RSS soon what with NASA actually orbiting it...
