Can't Activate Action Groups for Space Planes.

So, I've built a space plane, and I set up action groups, but when I press 1,2,3,4 ex, nothing activates. I am using OSX Yosemite version 10.10.1.

Does the problem still exist? A few screenshots of your action groups would be very helpful. You're very new to this forum so I'm just assuming you're very new to the game. So maybe this tutorial helps:
