"KSP Stats Tracking" and "Physical Time Acceleration" windows keep coming back.

This is a weird one, I think it's a bug. Every time I start the game the window is always back asking me if I want to send the info about my game to help Squad. It doesn't matter if I say yet or no, it always comes back. Also when I change my choices the whole window flickers in an unhealthy way. http://i.imgur.com/emYAXc3.png

Something similar when I physical time accelerate, it acts like it's the first time I've ever time accelerated and warns me about the ship falling apart. I tell him "Don't warn me again!" But every time I start up the game again, it comes back... is this a known issue? For reference I'm using 1.02 on Steam, Windows 7.

Sounds like a bug for sure, I've never had that happen before. Might wanna start a thread under support if you haven't already.

I'm not sure why "send anonymous data" prompt is appearing again and again.

It should be possible to (permanently) enable/disable it, from the main settings menu, General options, "Show stats tracking dialog on startup."

Edit: If both of these settings are not sticking, I wonder if it might be a weird interaction with windows file security policy. If that was the case, you also would not be able to save craft files, or any configuration changes. That would stick out more, I'm sure you would have noted that. So, IDK.

It's not a very big deal, I just worry that it's a sign of potential further instability in my install.

This file is located in C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Kerbal Space Program

If you're feeling adventurous:

1. exit KSP

2. navigate to path listed above, in file explorer

3. Rt-click drag/drop settings.cfg & choose "copy" to make a backup

4. delete settings.cfg

5. Restart KSP

KSP will rebuild the file with default values.

You will lose any custom keybindings, sound/video quality settings, etc.

So long as my saves and my ships are safe, I'm willing to try. I'm putting the finishing touches on a Delta 4 analog that uses 3 mainsails on the first stage... t'is a thing of beauty. And I'd rather not lose all the progress I have so far.
