glitchy SAS and "missing" atmosphere

Recommended Posts

So, recently I sent a probe to Eve, and when I tried to perform an aerobrake I noticed that, even if I was actually in the atmposphere the "in space" music was still playing, and i could go to the space center without loosing my probe. In addition on the surface the big blu button "space center" wouldn't appear...so i noticed that disengaging the SAS, the reaction wheels were running randomly, and the cursore the indicated the pitch, ect, were locked in a not-nominal position!

So I tried to quick load when I was still in orbit, I disengaged the SAS and the probe start spinning...

Did you try restarting the game, then reloading your save? Sometimes you can encounter an unrelated bug that might not be obvious until later. Restarting may help that, rather than just reloading the save.

As for the random spinning of the probe, it kind of sounds like the craft has trim input. Press ALT+X to zero it out. If that doesn't work, then you might have some parts clipped together, which can cause phantom forces.

Welcome to the forums :D

Cheers,
