Now that we have radiative heating and Kerbol is finally a dangerous place to go near, it would be interesting to have a deployable part capable of protecting the vessel for some time.

Remember this underrated movie?

Something lightweight and shiny. Procedural Parts' can make the looks, but the function does not exist.

We'd basically need a solar reflector. Ideally, a procedurally sized shield-like one, but a set of other shapes would come in handy, too.

Imagine a body close to Kerbol as Ablate is.

You'd need a decent solar protection to survive. This opens whole new possibilities for KSP. Solar shield EVA suits for couple of minutes of walking around would also be a nice addon.

you could try to modded the Deployable Phased Array Microwave Transceiver from KSP Interstellar Extended to act like a heat shield. It is huge.
