Memory leak when when in route to Moho or Eve (space travel)

Update: A I having a possible memory leak? And from what? I have been launching missions to Eve and Moho, but I keep noticing my ram usage increasing until 5gigs and then the game crashes. It's working like clockwork now...

here is the crash report... Had another crash. Using following mods: Chatterer, MechJeb, Kerbal Alarm Clock, and Surface Lights (all are up to date and Surface Lights is not on my ship that is out trying to reach Moho and Eve).

Took me a while to figure this one out. It's from a seemingly we'll know heat gauge memory leak : p. downloading the heat gauge mod that let's you hit F10 to show and hide the temp gauges fixed it!!! Haven't had a crash for an hour now. The mod is called temperature gauge killer.

I am glad you solved your problem. Another easy solution is to disable PPFX in your video settings; without that enabled the heatgauges won't leak memory.

Thanks for the tip. I'm tempted to try it, but with the mod I guess I'm good either way. I haven't had a crash for so long that I can't remember when my last one was : )
