Planet information maps

Recommended Posts

New to KSP and keep thinking of a thing i would like to see in the game (career mode)

Information maps of all planets and moons that start out compleatly emty and then get updated with more and more deatailed maps and sceientific information

about the different regions of the planets as you performe scientific tasks in the different regions.

Such as first crew report over the target gives a rough map and then EVA reports give more detailed maps the closer the surface you are when you do it.

And different science tools give various new information like materials in the ground, gravity, temperature and so on.

Would mean you have a goal to get accurate information of all planets and also serve to show you what parts of planets you haven't been to yet.

As i said new here so don't know if anything like this has been discused before or if there already is some MOD.

If not let me know what you think.

This is something I'd like too. At the moment, there's not a lot you can do once you've landed, this could be part of a more elaborate science/exploration system

There is a mod called Scansat that does something similar to this, you may want to take a look at it.

Scansat only gives you scans from orbit. This lets you build up a map of what you've found out on the ground.
