can a sr docking port dock with a normal docking port?

yeah, thats what im doing right now. tring to dock

i have a space station in orbit (that ran out of gas) and there is a refueler inbound about to dock

right now it is cruising away from the station (at about 0.1m/s)

so can a 2.5m docking port dock with a different sized docking port?

currently tring to match speed with the station.

better give up matching speed. they won't dock. size must match.

In a word, no. Also, don't try to be clever and try to clip a normal port into the middle of a large port, it doesn't work. You just need to design docking nodes that have both sizes.

Yes... if you build an adapter. But really the answer is no.

If you do want to send up that adapter, it is real simple. A Rockomax Brand Adapter or Rockomax Brand Adapter 02 with docking ports on either side. You should be able to get something that light up to orbit real cheap and it definitely beats bringing the fuel hauler back for no reason. Plus, leave the adapter at the station for later use.
