recover part contract

for the contract i need to recover part nwgrs (something like that)in orbit around mun, and bring it back to kerbin. but i cant see it iv tried in tracking station and actually going to the mun but nothing.... tried searching for answer, but seems like no-one has ever had a contract to recover a part only kerbinaults?

I got and completed one yesterday. It appears like an asteroid, with the (?) icon on the map view, if you can track the unknown objects, that's it. If you still can't I don't think it'll show anywhere.

You should start getting "recover part" contracts as soon as you have researched the Klaw--you might also need to fully upgrade the Tracking Station; I'm not sure about that though. If you can't see the part in the Tracking Station, check to make sure "Unknown" objects are set to "visible."

I just tried one of these and it caused extreme lag to the point of crashing my game and I can't figure out why
