THE ROYAL HEXANIAN SPACE PROGRAM

As long as the Kerbals can remember, they have always wanted to explore the planets around them. Eve, Duna, Jool, Sarnus, all the planets in the Kerbol system. One team of scientists and engineers from the Royal Hexanian Institute for Science, lead by Dr. Wernher von Kerman have built a space centre on the east coast of Kafrika, to fulfil one objective; explore the stars.

This is the story of the Royal Hexanian Space Program.

The Royal Hexanian Space Program

Part I- Learning to Fly

Mission 1 - Green Knight I

With the dawn of the Royal Hexanian Space Program, some information about the lower and upper atmosphere was badly needed, as well as training for the staff, who had only flown small remote controlled aeroplanes (before crashing them). To do this, two solid-fuelled sounding rockets would be launched as a precursor to orbiting satellites and manned vehicles.

With the success of the first rocket, approval was given for the second rocket, and plans were drawn up for a basic jet plane, to be piloted by none other than Jebediah Kerman.

I like the look of the Green Knight 1. It brings to mind the captured V-2s used as sounding rockets by the US after WWII. I look forward to seeing where the program goes from here!

Thanks! I hope I actually get this going! I was inspired by KASDA.
