Discreet (not just aircraft anymore) Parts. (Updated 21-06-15)

Thats why your nick is so familiar, you made the predecessor of kerbal foundries (the track part)...my head ached from thinking about it...^^

The turboprops need to be stowed countered agains each other, maybe in a longer fuselage:

Yeah me sucks, but i think you see what i try to say. :D

It is so annoying not to know how to express oneself sometimes...^^

Yes, I started the first versions of the caterpillar tracks (with help from EndlessWaves) way back when. :D

I have some ideas on getting the turboprops to pack up nice and small, but for the sake of not being overpowered, they'll sacrifice some thrust or efficiency.

Id rather build spaceplanes whom fit in a reasonable large fairing, cruise missiles with extending winglets already exist in BDA. :)

However, I installed Blender right now and try to get a hunch of modeling :P

Hey electronicfox, maybe you would be interested in adding retactable rocket engines (2.5m maybe 3.75m) as well?

KSP lacks inline retractable engines, i.e. for this:

Yes I will be making retractable rocket engines also, but in the meantime something very similar exists (for small engines anyway)

Those wings look awesome. I figure you're also going to do a tail-segment for more steering capabilities?

If so, is there a chance you'll do a conic one (for a junior docking port)? that way we retain "dockability" and still have a more aerodynamic-looking shape :)

I plan to make surface-mountable retracting winglets for extra controls. Since they will basically clip into whatever part theyre mounted on, the tradeoff will be either their lift potential or weight. I think their weight would be better.

Me thinks there should be a small engine housing at the rotor axis, just big enough to get the electrical engine in.

Or you could use the stockings of one female kerbal as translator band...

I'm having this belt-driven. There just isnt room for a sufficient motor in the assembly. I'll probably add another part to allow the belt to drive from the central part of the model.

;D Concerning those winglets: is it possible to not allow them to attach to fuel tanks? Except for being slightly heavier, this would be a got strain on building spacecraft. Fueselages --> good ---> fuel tanks bad. :D

Unfortunately I can't do that. The winglets I have in mind though will only be tiny things, offering very small amounts of control.

ok. Well yeah why not, thats kerbalike par excellence, parts moving into the fuel reservoir. Wheeee :D

WIll they have control surfaces or will they be control surfaces themself?

They will have small control surfaces.
