Is there such a mod (rover drive and auto send science)

I'm not sure if there is a mod that can do this or if it is possible to script it myself?

I scanned a planet using the "sat-map" mod,i basically want to tell a rover to go to certain areas,do science (temperature,grav,atmophere etc) and then send it before going to the next location,the rover should also move at a safe speed and use the safest path.After the rover is done with all the locations the game should pause.

I basically want it to run with focus on the rover while i'm doing other things like going to work.

If there is not such a mod,can someone tell me or point me in the right direction on where i can learn to mod the game and what tools i need to learn/use?

MechJeb has a rover auto pilot option. There is also a mod that does science automatically when you have a scientist present but I've forgotten the name of the mod.

Needs some updating to work with 1.0.x and the latest kOS tho. I will get around to that eventually but you're welcome to take the code and run with it
