Kerbal Space Program Rocket Launch Videos!

Recommended Posts

Kerbal Space Program - Gemini 8/ Titan II-GLV Launch. (With PAO narration) [HD!]

NOTE:The video was uploaded at 1080HD, but as it is currently 'Processing' as of 3:51PST, May 21st, 2012, you will not be able to view it in anything over 360. If the problem persists after processing is completed, I will have to re-upload.

Yes, I realize I\'m not the best Jack King, but I had nobody else for narration at the moment, so I did what I could. I have launched several Titan-II GLV rockets on Kerbal Space Program, but this particular one was carrying David Skott and Neil Karmstrong to a rendezvous and Kerbin\'s second space walk mission.

Unfortunately, the mission was cut short after a thruster malfunction and the EVA didn\'t happen.

Belatedly, after making the narration, I realized how low in value my down range number announcements were, so it might see a little bit slow in horizontal Delta-V, but I guess we\'ll have to move past this.

I do plan to put together a 'parts required' list and a .craft file for anyone who would like to fly my Titan II rocket. It is a great machine.

For the 50 of you that already saw this video (give or take), I just made my advanced Saturn V. Complete with ignition sequence of burning fire before lift off and fiery stage separations!

I\'ll be making a PAO narration video of that pretty soon. I just took it to the Mun and the CSM is now orbiting.

I shall get started on that. It should only take a little over an hour.

--EDIT--

Cepheus, just got the raw footage done. Time to edit it, add a countdown, create the IR effect then narrate. It\'ll take a little while to upload, though. I like my KSP videos in HD

Good work on the video.

A tip: with the camera zoomed out and the rocket lifting off, you can rotate the camera so it remains against the ground. It makes for a good effect.

I just got done doing my own video editing.

It took me all day to make a 2 minute video.

SATURN V LAUNCH IS UP!

Kerbal Space Program - Saturn V/Apollo 8 Launch (PAO narration) [HD!]

I don\'t know if this one might sound a little less NASA-ish, but I am ad-libbing all this stuff, and I try not to go off on tangents (LOL)

A sequel to my last video of the Gemini launch. These videos were made in the style of the ones you see of the old launches from Kennedy Space Center. There are some readouts that I miss, but I really am pressed for time throughout the narration.

This is my most advanced SaturnV craft and it took a while to make sure all the staging was set. If you notice, I make the skirt separation on stage two fairly early, because due to a glitch, the engines won\'t accelerate the craft while the skirt is there. To properly achieve orbit, I had to get rid of that pretty quickly.

Then, of course, MechJeb thinks that skirt sep wants the rocket to then fire its escape tower and the whole skirt sep, LES/BPC jettison is done too quickly.

On another note, I do realize that Apollo 8 was not a night launch, but the 'ignition sequence' only shows up at night, and that\'s my favorite part! (Save for the staging, of course!).

You may have noticed that the Ignition Sequence started at 6 seconds when it should have started at nine seconds, but that was due to a narration error and it was something I could not fix until I noticed it.

Let\'s just pretend the engines delayed a little bit!

This was shot in version .15. Kerbal Space Program can be downloaded from: http://www.kerbalspaceprogram.com/download.php for the demo. If you want to have all the fancy stuff, it only costs 15 dollars.

Mods are all over the forums.

I\'ll remember that for my next video. I\'m not quite sure, but I was thinking about a Falcon 9 video. I just need the parts.

I just finished up my shuttle video and this one is great. There\'s something a little different about this one, but you\'ll see. It\'s nothing too much different.

My Space Shuttle Launch. I was going to have a commander speak to the CAPCOM, but my friend Jackson went to some Lacrosse thing before I could ask for his voice over.

With my Titan II and Saturn V launches receiving good feedback, I took a leap into the future here and went with the old Space Shuttle. NASA\'s Space Shuttle is certainly not my favorite launch vehicle, but it\'s still a pretty cool system and I found it worth doing.

My mom did the voice of the CAPCOM on this one and I think she did great. It sounds very realistic!

With all three of these vehicles launched, I\'m really looking for ideas for another video, so as long as everyone wants, I will gladly do another one. If you have any suggestions or requests for a rocket you\'d like to see launched, as long as I have the parts, I will do it.

Kerbal Space Program can be downloaded from:

Remember to buy the full version on the KSP Store for only 15 dollars! Afterwards, you get every update free! (What a deal.)
