Do scientists in a docked craft improve laboratory efficiency?

The wiki says scientists anywhere on the craft with a laboratory increase the science output of the lab.

Do scientists in another craft, docked to the lab increase the lab's science output as well?

I'm pretty sure they need to be in the Lab, and level matters. Docking merges the two crafts, so yes.

When it is docked, it is all one big craft, until part of it undocks again. So, it's the same rules as if you have 2 scientists in the lab, and one elsewhere in the station. I.e. yes, it's all scientists anywhere on the craft, including the docked bits.

I've seen a station with 2 scientists get more science when another vessel docked to it with a 3rd scientist.
