Orbit doesn't match according to satellite specifics

Recommended Posts

Hello, I'm new to the forum, and quite new at the game, just started a week ago

I have a question about my satellites, I've done launching probes before, atm I've launched around 3, and during my 4th attempt, I wasn't able to complete the requirements but, if I looked at my orbit I seem to pretty match the orbit required by the mission

I've included screenshots for the mission specifics and the current position of my probe

If you have more than 2km/s dV available then you can have a try - put it in a highly eccentric orbit, adjust inclination at Ap, then circularize back. Otherwise, just launch a new satellite. Inclination change needs a lot of dV.

Lowest dV way to reverse your orbit is to raise your apoapsis to near SOI boundary, then burn retrograde at apoapsis until your orbit swaps directions. The simpler way is to just keep burning retrograde until your in your same elliptical orbit but now backwards and finally drop your apoapsis back down with rockets. The more complex way is to stop burning retrograde earlier to set up an aerobrake that leaves you close your target apoapsis.

Or as FancyMouse suggests you can launch a new rocket, wait to be in the plane of its orbit, and launch directly into the direction its rotating.
