Accidental Deletion

I spent 1.5 hrs working on a craft. Press the save button. The craft gets deleted. I press control z and nothing happens. Make it so if you press a button it doesnt lead to the whole freaking craft being deleted, and second, make control z work reliably. And no, dont bring up the "switch cursor mouse tool" nonsense, i shouldnt have to do that.

Are you sure you didn't click the 'new' button by accident?

But I must admit; an autosave feature in the VAB/SPH could be useful and could prevent a lot of frustration.

Which version are you playing? 1.0 added more robust Ctrl-Z functionality and confirm dialogs when doing something that would cause you to lose your work, both improvements in this area over 0.90 and before.

Other than that: Save early, save often is always a good practice.

If you delete the root part Ctrl Z stops working.
