Mk2 lander can full after eva

Recommended Posts

Recently (1.0.2) I have noticed on both Min & Minmus (and with different crews) the Mk2 Lander Can is full when I try to return an eva'd Kerbal to the ship. The science goes in but the Kerbal does not. LMB click on Lander Can hatch shows both Kerbals inside even though there is obviously one outside on the ladder. Note: this only occurs with surface eva'd Kerbals, low/high orbit is fine.

The fix/workaround is to eva the other Kerbal (LMB on Lander Can hatch shows ship is empty) and then they can both board normally.

While this doesn't threaten the very fabric of spacetime itself, it is a little freaky / annoying, at least the first time it happened.

Anybody else come across this?

I have encountered this same bug in LKO so the location is probably irrelevant. I'm not sure my ship had a lander can. It had the size2 capsule and besides that either the lander can, the hitchhiker or nothing at all. I don't remember. What I do know is that all EVAs happened through the capsule. So it's likely a more generic bug.

switch back and forth a few times between the capsule and the EVAed Kerbal, eventually you'll summon a Kraken that will drag the duplicate back to whatever alternate dimension he came from.

Pretty easy to spot the fake twink: It is the Kerbal with the goatee!
