Mobile Launch Platform or train part mod

I've always had a few problems with stock kerbal:

1) No explaination for how the rocket gets to the launch pad

2) no launch towers

If someone could make a mod or parts that could cover the MLP problem, that'd be aweseome.

For example: Have different size treads, different engine size clamps etc.

For item 1 I'll point out the crawlerway. Granted, we don't see animation of a crawler in action but honestly, that would get tedious after a short time.

For Item 2, Once upon a time there was a launch tower. It was a royal pain trying not to hit it on launch, especially with larger ships. It's removal was a great day.

What I imagine is that Kerbals design the ship, then tear up and build it on the launch pad. As for launch towers, FASA can assuage the problem, http://forum.kerbalspaceprogram.com/threads/71032-1-0-2-FASA-Launch-Towers .
