Clear Backgrounds on Flags (when on capsules/ships)

I put in a few custom flags, but really think the white rectangle behind the icon is a bit of an eye sore when on a capsule. Is there a way to make the background of the "flag", in this case the white background not appear on the capsules?

I tried removing the background through other programs and then re-uploading but that didn't seem to work.

Are you sure you've edited the images to have a transparent background?

Yeah, the image needs to be .png and have a transparent background for that to work. It won't be transparent on planted flags, however.
