How to land planes on duna

you see ive dveloped an ssto with so much delta v once refueled, 3700+... i went to duna, did an aerocapture to get into a perfect circulat orbit, then i descended to the surface. everything looked normal for a while, the aircraft handled well. but the issue is, landing is deadly, due to the atmosphere being so thin, a safe landing speed is not obtainabl due to the plane dropping out of the sky when it gets to slow. ive found below 150m/s and thing sget hairy...

I'm guessing you won't find a lot of people who have successfully done that. I imagine the plane would look like a glider with tons of wing area.

The guide in my sig is for FAR, but most of it should still apply to Duna. The key thing is not necessarily to have big wings (although that does help) but to land on a flat place, and most importantly, kill a ton of speed before you land. On Duna, retrorockets may be a better way to do this. Check out the link in my sig for more info.

Use that dropping out of the sky as an advantage, find a hill that slopes downwards not too steep and flare right before you land, the downwards slope had the effect of slowing down your vertical speed.
