The Pulp Science Fiction Space Association, a 1.0.3 Adventure

So, 1.0.3 released today. As tradition dictates, this means that I must start anew with a clean house- no parts mods, and especially no old saves, because they tend to use old parts mods.

Since I just got a Minmus base working in 1.0.3, I'll admitted I was pretty miffed. But, since I wasn't sharing any of this because it "took too much time", I decided not to be. So, welcome to the Pulp Science Fiction Space Association, as I've decided to name my latest career save!

Mods I'm running:

MechJeb 2 dev build that "should work with 1.0.3"

Kerbal Alarm Clock.... for 1.0.2 (and yup, it works with 1.0.3)

Whatever the latest version of FAR is

Dingus 1:

Every space agency has to start somewhere. This one surprised by breaking the sound barrier first time out. And by mostly exploding upon landing. Jeb's safe, though, so mission accomplished. Gained 30 Science.

Dingus 2:

Vessel was to attempt suborbital trajectory. Attempt failed due to unexpected structural failure on the upper stage, all pictures of which mysteriously disappeared from the cameras of those attending the launch. Regardless, safe abort was made and revolutionary insights upon the nature of high-altitude flight were discovered. 30 Science gathered.

The exoatmospheric insertion stage of the Dingus 3 apparently burning up, but actually not, thanks to radiator panels. Wernher and Bill approve. Jebediah.... well.... were not too sure what goes on in his little head, but we're pretty sure he likes them.

Jebediah finds himself suddenly weightless. Jebediah is confused.

Good news: Jebediah Kerman has made a successful orbit of Kerbin, and is still orbiting Kerbin as we speak.

Bad news: Jebediah Kerman is stuck in space at a "really weird inclination", according to Mission Control officer Gene Kerman. He has no fuel to deorbit.

Plans for a rescue mission were dropped due to budget cuts.

Alas, this is something I cannae bear. I've decided to start anew... again. XD

I'll start a new thread once my new career gets to orbital ops, as I find the beginning of a game to be both excruciatingly difficult and incredibly boring to write home about.
