Invisible Separator Fairings

This separator on an already existing ship lost its fairing. Loading the ship in the VAB appears normal.

Everything seems fine otherwise. How weird is that?

Edit: removed 1.0.4 implication from title; can't say that it's the cause.

Heat shield fairings vanishing when you reload an existing vessel has been around as long as the heat shields, not caused by 1.0.4

The same thing happened to me too, but I didn't even update to 1.0.4. The fairing disappeared when I left the craft and came back later.

I've tried revisiting the vessel and relaunching the app and it's still gone. Looks perfectly fine and operates as if connected. Done a few launches with shields and never seen this before. Just thought I'd share the weirdness.

Yes, a known issue. Though some details are still missing.
