Lighted Cockpit

So I'm early in my 1.03 career game, and I launch a rocket with 2 in-line cockpits behind a mk1 to do a 2 passenger sub orbital contract because, hey money. I'm not sure why, but I right-clicked the in-line cockpit and saw a button for "lights". Curious, I clicked it, and ......

So when did this get added, or have I been missing it this whole time?

For that cockpit. As far as I know, lights like that existed as feature somewhere as early as 0.25.

I really liked the older inline cockpit model better This one just looks like someone put some curved plastic on top of a fuel can.

Nice! Now the Angrybird can match the Nastybird with in-flight lighting. Just gotta get some spare time to install the update...

Mk2's and Mk3s have always had that feature, at least since 0.90. As others said, it's just new for the Mk1 inline.

I preferred the older model of this cockpit (pre-1.0) because it looked cool and Sam Hall's IVA was brilliant. This model fits the new Mk1 Style better, but I personally liked the old one better (cockpit and Mk1 Style), and the IVA isn't nearly as good as Sam hall's mod.

Dang it, I missed it in those too. I love little touches like that in a this game.

To be fair, that sounds exactly like how I'd expect Kerbals would make a cockpit.

That is so true. Sad to see the old IVA mod gone

I actually really like the new (1.0.3+) model and IVA, they look much more like an actual plane cockpit than before. The IVA visibility is also really good, better than most of the others. Then again, it's kind of odd how the IVA and external model don't seem to match up - the IVA's much less curved.

I do really like the new IVA. It has great visibility and the crosshairs help Cattrid the Engineer aim her harpoon gun.
