ELI5: How do I make a contract pack?

I want to make a contract pack and I'm not going to lie: I'm pretty clueless when it comes to modding and coding. Never really tried it as well.

What I want to do is create a bunch of contracts about Ore extraction and retrieval. Pretty basic: Mine ore from a planet surface, bring it back and land it on Kerbin (only) for money.

I requested this as a mod, but nobody seemed to care, so I assumed it's so simple I can do it myself, though not sure how.

E: I'm looking through stock contract files right now and try to figure out how all this works.

I suggest using Contract Configurator. It'll be about a billion times easier than trying to mess with the contract system directly, and there's a number of people who will provide their assistance with any questions you have. I expect nightingale will probably make an appearance here to tell you himself.

Yeah, downloading Contract Configurator was the first thing I did.

I've not used it myself (yet) but I'd take a look through their documentation and maybe check out some of the existing contract packs to see how they did things. Since I haven't done it myself, I unfortunately can't give you any specific examples.

OK, doing it right now. Thanks for help anyway.
