Checking for updates - Forever

I've been away from the game a while, but came back to see the new updates and release, and the game opens to the "KSPLauncher" and then sits (I've waited an hour), with "Checking for Updates..." flashing at the bottom of the screen.

Anyone else have this issue? Anything I can do?

I run no mods, just the stock game.

Neither the Launcher nor the Patcher have worked reliably for quite some time - you'll have to redownload the entire game again (which is probably good practice anyway, since it ensures you get a fresh copy of all the updated files.

Did you buy the game from the KSP website store or Steam?

Thank you. I have removed KSP and am now re-downloading. I purchased from KSP Website.
