Apollo 11 Tribute

Hi folkses. July is upon us, and with it some fond memories for this lady. For any of you interested in such things, I have a video tribute to the Apollo 11 mission in the can and ready for release on 20 July. Last year's tribute was reasonably well received in the "Mercury, Gemini, Apollo" Facebook group, and I am hoping that this year's offering does at least as well.

Nice to see a tribute. Apollo 11 is close to my birthday, my next anniversary of being alive at July 26.

As it happens, my birthday is 20 July. I turned 12 the day of the landing. Each year, I try to remember to raise a toast of The Glenfiddich to all who made the mission possible. Then, I cry.

Well then, we should be related.... my birthday is on the 16th, the day they launched. I was 9 years old and I still remember seeing it on TV... a few hours delayed because this was before satellites were able to send news items to us here in New Zealand. Australia was able to get it live, so what our air force did was have its Skyhawks rush over, grab the latest can of film, and rush back with it... to show on our TV's... amazing thing was that it really did bring the world closer together.
