How bad are these regarding drag? I'd imagine you would need a CoL quite a ways behind CoM to keep one of these open-cockpit birds flying straight...

They don't actually create ridiculous amounts of drag as you'd expect. I messed with zekes MiG-31 and it had no performance impact whatsoever
