CompoundParts start and end parts in VAB/SPH

I'm trying to figure out how to get the start and end parts that a strut (or fuel line possibly in the future) is attached to. Every API I try seems to return null instead of the attached parts. Do you guys have any ideas on how to get this data?

You mean the parts that the Compound Part is attached to?

CompoundPartModule.compoundPart.parent;

Should give you the parent part of the start point, which would be the part that it is attached to.

CompoundPartModule.compoundPart.target;

Will give you the target part, where the end point as attached.

The fuel line and strut both inherit from the CompoundPartModule class, so you should be able to get to that value easily.
