What madness is this!

Shuttle inside a shuttle inside a shuttle. (It's been done)

Or SSTO inside a STTO inside a STTO. which may not have been done. Not sure about your single rocket stage there though.

Very close, there are two SSTO's inside an SSTO, but for what purpose?

To me it looks like a shuttle and a lander inside a larger shuttle.

EVE mission? Atmospheric plane and a Gilly lander. Though EVE has no oxygen in the atmosphere, maybe Laythe?

Doesn't the lander look a bit overpowered for gilly? and the rapier on the shuttle would not be any good for getting off Eve

What, do people ever plan to get off Eve? Point taken, though. Since there's an intake on the smaller plane, I assume it's going to fly on a planet with oxygen in atmosphere. There are only two in stock, Kerbin and Laythe. Kerbin makes little sense, so I'll bet on Laythe.

And the lander seems overpowered for a Gilly, yes. Since the Terrier is useless in an atmosphere, I figure it's meant to land on a planet or moon without atmosphere. The abundance of fuel hints to a rather ambitious plan to conquer multiple moons - or at least biome hop on a low-G moon.

Planning to tour Jool?

WHOA HOLD THE PHONE!

That terrier engine will suck fuel from the tank through the lander can?!?!

Why have I never tried that? That's brilliant!

Yeah I discovered it during my mun speed run in my sig, I was surprised too.

"JGT" ought to have been a clue. Although, does that stand for Jool Grand Tour, Jeb's Grand Tour, or even JGT Grand Tour?

Yeah, Jool Grand Tour, I tried to put a few clues in there :D

I jut realised I used an old lander , it's got barely enough dV for Tylo, I changed the tank for a 2.5m 200 for about 5600m/s dV

Yeah, feeling so smartass about my lander consisting of the command pod resting on a stack decoupler, to which *radially* three flat (shortest) Rockomax tanks were attached. And legs extending from these, attached so high there was barely any clearance for the engines.

For the launch, there were additional decouplers and nose cones filled with fuel on top of these three, but they were discarded, emptied, some 1000m above Mun surface.

While the decoupler was meant to free the command pod from the three tanks with their engines, legs and batteries for reentry, actually the lander legs more than made up for the extra mass which made the fall faster, so I recovered the lander whole (after a cautious quicksave before reentry...)

Just in case no one pointed it out (haven't read the whole thread):

The small lander has the pod mounted upside-down relative to the Terrier engine and landing legs.

It was just a mock-up of the cargo bay, getting the sizes right.
