Is this worth it?

My computer is a x64 i3 with each core being 2.2ghz. So I was annoyed at KSP lagging and I put it on the "eat huge amounts of power but run freaking good. Is this worth it? Will KSP run any smoother?

Nope. Unless you are actually overclocking your machine won't run faster.

Apparently, from another thread, disabling speedstep could help get the most out of you CPU. Though I am not sure if this is good advice.
