How fast can you go before leaving the runway?

Recommended Posts

Hi guys!

I\'m back with another small challenge.

How fast can you go (with a spaceplane) before leaving the runway?

RULES:

no flying

stock only

you can use rocket parts for your spaceplane! :D

You don\'t have to stop :)

This is my entry, 247,1 m/s

Simple as can be, 3 fuel tanks with engines and wheels beneath, no wings to add weight and drag.

Update: modified the craft to add more engines and fuel, and did som better fuel mangement to keep weight down, new speed 266,6m/s.

added .craft file too.

Good job on two things!

Your first post and the record thus far!

Happy launchings!

Managed 450 m/s with this.

Wow.

Good thing you don\'t have to stop like in that other challenge!

I\'m working on mine, it\'s sort of itwantstoflysobadlyanditflysevenwithoutwings.

EDIT: my craft keeps drifting to the right and thus explosions galore. I\'ll have to do something...

Feel free to disqualify my craft as it relies on the fact that the new RCS is a bit imbalanced. My craft also drifts all over the place, takes some WASDEQ bashing to keep it on the run way. Anything past 450 m/s just requires more luck ???.
