Eve 95 life

Voyager275

Recommended Posts

In my WIP story Voyager 3, the mission is to visit the planet Eve 95, a planet found around Alpha Cnetauri B in 2015. My question is what kind of life do you think could live on the planet. It is Earth sized and in the habitable zone. Also I want something unlike Earth life. Any suggestions would be welcome. Also can it be viewed by the wanderer orbiter, or only the explorer lander, or both?

Yes..... the planet is inhabited by farts.... they smell... but they live.... intelligent farts.... the happier they are, the more they smell....

Hey.... its probably never been done before. Good luck trying to communicate with it.

It is four-legged. It has the ears and tail of a fox, the color changing abilities of a chameleon, and half the intelligence us humans. Their face resembles that of a penguin, but without the beak. You choose a name XD

Is it sentient like us humans or not?

Have a fictional alien I once made up. I am very fond of them.

Quasil: A squishy sphere covered completely in festers, apart from its face, which is composed of two relatively large black eyes and a slightly elongated triangular beak sticking out forwards, also black. They are composed of a substance known as "rubber matter" which is only destructible by fire. Not heat, but just fire. They can withstand any kinetic force. They possess high intelligence, but are unable to directly communicate with other lifeforms in a complex as they cannot pronounce descriptive speech, only few chirps. They can open and close their break and roll around using gyroscopic forces, but that's it. They do have access to advanced technology, but mostly rely on drones because they just can't really do stuff apart from rolling around and slightly pecking. They are not aggressive whatsoever and don't mind being hugged, poked, shot or used as a beach ball, the latter of which they enjoy.

That sounds disturbingly like your avatar.... :sticktongue:

Metallions: a sentient bird like species with green and purple feathers. They have a beak similar to a pterodactyl and eat what they can kill. They can create nuclear weapons and are on the verge of sending the first satellite into orbit. they are also 5ft tall.

Keraworts , or Kers for short.

Humaniod green-skinned creatures with tails. Similar to lizards, with long, flexible tounges and climbing skills. Live in trees. Are intelligent, but live in hiding, fearing the Mettallions, which hunt and eat them. Capable of traveling long distances instantaneously with small devices of unknown origin, presumably from an advanced alien race. Primitive technology due to being eaten before they have a chance to learn anything

Creatures of fiction? Haven't done that in a while. I've got some great ones for my own story I'm working on, but I'm not giving those ones away. :D

Let's see here...

What about a large (say, ten foot wingspan?) predatory bird of prey, or creature resembling a bird of prey, which hunts in packs, with cat-like eyes to see in the dark when it is active? Give it serrated beak and talons.

I'm not very good with names. :/ Considering that the characters in my story are not human, species names are very odd (So are the character's names, but that's another matter. :)). The Lykotaek, for example. So I'll leave the naming to you.

EDIT: The species would be sentient to a certain degree. It would not have a civilization, however, as it lacks the methods to easily create tools. It would have a language understandable between members of its species, possibly decipherable by humans.
