his guys ! super great game. thanks for 1.0 !!! im running KSP on a 2011 Mac OSX 10.6.8

everything has run really smooth.. a few crashes here and there. not sure what that is about.

but other than that... love the game, congrats on coming out of beta after 5 years i hear... ? well done.

perhaps you could point me in the right direction with getting this Logitech Extreme 3d pro joystick to work in my KSP..... its not working at all, not even with a USB translator app called Overdrive.

Some of my creations... my HIGH WING JET IV, created to achieve 18,900 meter crew report contract.

The QuadroJet II... flies like your riding a uni-cycle... i need individual thottle controls linked to pitch and roll... any mods avail for this?

The Mini Shuttle. not flying right yet... i need to unlock fuel transfers to maintain COB. but she looks cool !!!

Hi tech2000,

Welcome to the forums! Dropbox works okay for sharing photos, but isn't the greatest place for embedding pictures into the forum here. One of the popular sites in the forum here is imgur.com. You can upload pics, make albums, and embed both into the forum here, and you don't need an account with imgur.

Again, welcome to the forums! :D

Cheers,

~Claw

The problem you have is most likely not related to your Macbook, its a memeroy problem, Squad is dealing with. When KSP goes Unity 5, the problems should disappear. Until then, i recommend reducing the texture quality.

Oh sorry, welcome to the forums, tech2000! Those are some nice craft, you show here.

Be seeing you in orbit :)

thanks Frank! will try lowering texture, thanks for the tip. Unity 5? when? sweet! but yea, KSP usually uses about 2.78 GB of my RAM, not really much imo considering the quality of the game, both fps and visual. thanks for the compliments on the crafts. im a noob, i feel like my ships weigh too much, or my engines arent powerful enough. lol, oh rocket science. check out my Falcon 9

Honestly, it seems that your designs are pretty overpowered concerning engines (too much weight due to too many engines). The heat effects in your screenshot will happen to spaceplanes, as they need to get as much speed as possible from their airbreathing engines. A rocket has no such need. Check the web for "gravity turn". Understanding the ascent physics helps a lot to get your constructions more efficient.

gotcha. thanks. so less rockets, more fuel?

not even. Less rockets, more efficiency. If you've been powering through the lower atmosphere, then you should have plenty of fuel as it is.

The reason that you don't want to go too fast, too low is because of your terminal velocity. You will start to spend more and more fuel on going at the same speed, instead of saving it for when there is less drag.

To recap- go as fast as you can, but not too fast.

Also- orbit is all about horizontal velocity, so learn what a gravity turn is.

Very cool looking craft you've got there. You'll soon be just as addicted to this game as the rest of us around here are. Congratz on starting out and have fun.

As for your Quadrojet, here's some suggestions... put an SAS module next to your cockpit near the center of gravity. That will help with balancing it out. Also, try putting a docking port Jr on top of the fuselage over the CoG, too. Then on the runway, shift control to there (right click menu) and you'll have a top-down view of the nav ball to help keep your craft level. Hope this helps.
