Revolutionary soft-body physics in CryEngine3

I remember seeing a video similar to this for farcry 2 but Ubi cut it out because they decided to make it for consoles too.

Crytek lost a lot of my respect and hope when they put out crysis 2, biggest disappointment ever. I hear 3 may be better but i have very little hope they manage not to screw it up.

Having said that though, simulated physics is my main area of interest gaming wise and i cam play with physics demos for hours. This video makes me extremely happy and i would be euphoric if they released the actual software to play with.

Some degree of clipping is necessary, but methods can be applied to mask it, you\'d need an infinite amount of polygons and processing power to achieve true graphics, the only thing they can do is replicate and otherwise hide. Nonetheless, this is fascinating and i sincerely hope this doesn\'t stick with a specific game and becomes available over several games/series.

Crysis 2 was such a disappointment from Crysis.

However, I did like the overall change in look of the game.

Like the way missions were presented, the HUD. Basically the overal HUD theme and music.

However I did not like the seriously downplayed physics, freedom, and the plot was eh.

I\'ve played over 90 hours of Crysis (singleplayer, no multi(It\'s an 8 hour game, if that)) and I\'ve only played through Crysis 2 once and still have no desire to replay it :l

This makes me remember something - this is NOT by Crytek at all. It\'s just by the people who made Rigs of Rods rebuilding it in CryEngine 3. Which further reminds me, one of their devs was talking about this on Reddit, and said they 'could port it to any engine pretty easily'.
