Special planets

After the astounding success of my last two recommendations (1 star / closed) i looked over the what not to suggest forum to make sure this wasnt on it and it wasnt! so heres my recommendation.

Special planets!

so basically i think every planet should have something special about it, for example tylo, we all know it we all hate it sooo.. i think tylo should be *drumroll

VOLCANICLY ACTTIVE!!11!!!1!! yes so tylo would have small mountains (volcanos and geysers) with a hole on to top filled with lava or steam the would sometimes explode and send stuff flying everywhere destroying parts (and of course you could get science from it). so every planets should have a weather/event that makes it special.

Laythe was planned to be volcanically active and I believe Eeloo was supposed to have geysers. As for Tylo, it's hard enough already.

Activity on the planets in general would be great to have, but a major update and one that should wait until the game is better debugged and optimised I feel.

We should forget this for a time. All planets are uninteresting, and they need to be updated, keeping their own characteristics, while adding to them. For example, geysers as you've said, storms, canyons, more radical mountains, and that each should have very interesting, unique thematic. They should also be detailed, as currently, (nearly) all your landing sites are uninteresting, large flat surfaces. But anything like this is only possible after the game is efficient enough to be able to handle this. Currently, the waste of rescoures is not ablieng anything that would mean even higher requiements.

I would love some sort of weather that would literally wreck and tumble your stuff around. It was on SQUAD's to-do list since forever.

This is actually a sentiment I've seen mentioned in some launch reviews of v1.0: "There is a lot to explore, but unfortunately the environments feel kind of lifeless and sterile."

Of course, a lot of the game involves the challenge of getting somewhere (and back), but I agree that there could be a little more environment in those places you visit. Perhaps not a pressing issue, but something to keep in mind for the continuing development of the game.
