The Kraken Waits - Poetry

Recommended Posts

From the depths of blackened night

Hidden in forgotten frights

Watching with baleful burning eyes

The Kraken waits and the Kraken lies

Engines roar and spew forth flame

Sparks crackle and stream down like rain

The craft slices like a knife through the sky

The Kraken waits and the Kraken lies

Alarms begin to sound and red lights flash

Panic sets in and figures run and dash

Screens scream failure as text races by

The Kraken smiles with fangs and flies

Therein reality meets the improbable impossible fate

The appetite for destruction, a hunger never sate

Green figures watch in horror with tears in their eye

The Kraken laughs deeply, waits and lies

From a parachute Jeb laughs as he falls in the depths of the night
