Engine wont work in space

Recommended Posts

Hey, im very new to kerbal and have made a satilite and got it into orbit, the problem is i cant start a maneuver because my radioactive engine wont work even with fuel or power. it works in earth but not strong enough to lift itself so its only use is space. All appropriate answers are greatly appreciated. And could someone tell me how to add my file on here so people can see what the problem is if needed. :D:P here is a screenshot through Gyazo https://gyazo.com/58cf80a2b1bafab174f68586ae021b80

I'm not at my computer, so I can't check this, but I think your problem is that you have your batteries between your fuel and your engine. I don't think fuel flows through batteries, so if you move the batteries further up the stack above the fuel tanks, I think it will work in space.

Fuel flows fine through batteries.

@adambomb: are those fuel lines going TO or FROM the sattelite? Maybe you accidentally had it drain the liquid fuel out of the tank. And are you sure you have fuel left when you leave the atmosphere?

Other than the fuel lines, I don't see any reason why it wouldn't work, from what you're showing anyway.

I'll just throw some questions in here. Some might be really dumb but sometimes, problems some from the things we never thought about. :)

Do you have electricity to operate the spacecraft?

Is the engine on?

Does the engine have fuel?

Is it throttled up?

What does is say when right-clicking the engine?

Is time-warp at 1x?

Is the KSP window focused?
