I seem to have a short KSP attention span.

I think I might have bitten off too much than I can chew when I started having multiple KSP installations. One stock, one near stock sandbox and the "flagship" modded career with life support and AntennaRange.

Last week I attempted to continue progressing either my career game or develop some craft designs I worked on last week, but couldn't get into either so messed with a fellow forumer's land vehicle and fine tuned it a bit.

There days I seem to function much better when I have the opportunity to collaborate on a craft design and either make it perform beyond expectations, or develop it further into different functional variants. I might also have learned a few new aesthetic tricks along the way.

In any case I was penning down my thoughts not only just to persuade myself to get my lazy behind in gear but wondering if anyone had the same sense of "so much to do but not wanting to" and how you extricated yourself from the period of inactivity before the people in the administration building came calling for meetings :)

Spent too long at minus and mun. I keep building more things to send to Duna, I always end up going to mun/minmus and back in yet another "test" for the real thing.

I go from making things for just one purpose to things that could nearly go the entire kerbin system. None of it ever ends up at destination Duna.

I make ships and sometimes forget I even made them, coming back months later randomly checking crafts and wondering what on earth I was thinking.

More often launching something with more than one payload, then forgetting what craft its on when I want to re launch that bit of payload.

My favourite project is writing tutorials.

So I usually have several installs with designs being created and tested for different aspects of the game.

Unfortunately Squad only supports or promotes videos.

And meanwhile I will be trying to make designs for people's specific requirements or that illustrate their particular concern.

So every now and again I just stop and mess around.

It's a game. Do what seems fun, there isn't anything we need to do except enjoy it.

Here known as the Lawrence Weiner crisis. (Please read the first paragraphs of the "Work" section.)

I'll always be grateful to Weiner for this Declaration of Intent, which covered my own lazy behind many times.

He exploded Marin. I like him already. :D

In terms of laziness, I've taken a break from my serious projects, and am just focusing on silly stuff (which is much easier in 0.25).

-I designed a bunch of monowheel/unicycle rovers that turned out amazingly well. (Next, I'm using them for base assembly).

-The other project is a rather suggestively shaped ship named The Llewellyn Dowd, which oddly enough is going to turn out to be my best interplanetary ship to date.

So, if you want your mojo back, take the pressure off. ;-)

Thanks for the enkouragement everyone :3

I finally did finish the short video I was working on, after spending 2 nights recording small sections of it then seeing how nicely ridiculous the test production turned out went full steam ahead to finish it on the third night and declared it finished at 2am last night.

No sleep except for an hour and a half on the subway but 10/10 will burn midnight oxidizer again :D

I always feel so ambitious when playing KSP, like "I'm gonna build a massive space station around Laythe and then make a surface base where landers can go to and from the base back to the space station and I will colonize the whole Jool system!" Then I get in game and either I can't decide how to do it or some bug ruins it for me. Especially the bugs, it makes me not even want to bother with it sometimes :(

I tell myself the same thing, but always end up spending 4 hours straight tweaking SSTO's

I've made peace with it. See that under my name over there? It says "General Tinkerer". I've accepted that I'm not one for base building, station managing, colony infrastructure, or anything that's really time-intensive. I do the occasional grand venture, and even then they're usually one-shot missions, and I don't even always complete them. Pretty much everything I do is in my epithet: Generally, I tinker.
