How many times have you told yourself during testing that you were going to add reaction wheels, fins, batteries, etc to a craft when you got back to the VAB and then completely forgot when you got there? The solution: testing logs. The game should have a text field where you can write whatever you need to add/change on your craft and then the next time you open said craft in the VAB/SPH it shows you the file so that you don't forget.

Where technical solutions don't exist, I use a pencil and paper. They're shockingly useful.

That said, a journaling function wouldn't be half bad.
