BDAI Orbital Denial System

We all know how great BDArmory is by now, that it's a whole lot of fun in atmosphere and on the ground. I've not seen anything that pits space vehicles against each other. I aim to change that.

The Challenge:

Build and deploy a weaponised satellite or group of satellites to deny access to space.

The Rules:

- BDArmory required

- All other structural mods allowed

- Physics cheats prohibited

- OP engines prohibited

- Your system must show 100% effectiveness within one orbit of denying access to orbit to any other vehicle

- System may comprise of any weapon in the BDArmory arsenal

- System platform must maintain orbit. One-shot suicide deals not an option

- System platform must be fully replenishable.

(Challenger's hint: This has been sort of done before, only without BDArmory. An artificially induced retrograde Kessler cloud was effective in denying access to precisely one orbital track - effective in that anything hitting anything with a mutual closing speed of 5km/sec is going to vapourise both things. A gun or rack of guided missiles should have better luck guarding a larger area)

The problem here is that, without another AI mod, BDarmory AI performs extremely poorly in space. I built too "space fighter" satellites in low Munar orbit and they couldn't even find each other.

I threw up a dog ugly CIWS platform into a 71km retrograde orbit late yesterday and it blew the snot out of everything that came within 3.5km (though it did have a bit of a time correcting the kick from the gun). Missiles? Forget it, the platform just tumbles when you put AP on. Unless you can figure out a way for the platform to not have a tizzy fit when you put it in hunter mode, I'd say stick with movable gun turrets.

Have the laser turrets been horribly nerfed recently? Those seem like the better option (no recoil, no projectile lag, infinite ammo, very precise).

I've been working on an entry for this challenge, I'll probably finish and post an album of it this weekend.

I'm thinking it will be a network of kill-sats, each armed with laser turrets and radars. Here's a preview from some target practice I ran:
