Hidden Tech & 1 of Parts (OVA)

The basic Idea would be to have certain 'Parts' unavailable in Research but instead find orbiting somewhere like an 'Asteroid'.

Some 'Derelicts' would be nice either to take control of or scan as a science task.

Some 'Parts' I would have as 'Alien Tech' (Introduce a new species, why not) and others to be 'Rival Corp' tech.

Upon finding the 'Part' you will be faced with a decision to keep it and incorporate it somewhere or return it and A. Unlock it (Normal Part) B. Reverse Engineer it (Alien Tech) {Will destroy the part}

Will be more than happy to help build this but my lack of C# I can still do Models, Texturing, Animations and CFG stuff.

It would be a cool mod I think, especially for Interstellar players. Treat the alien tech like free parts from contracts (so that you can either keep it indefinitely in your part catalog or use it once on a craft) and it'd definitely give some neat purposes to exploring out in the void.

For instance, combining such a mod with something like KerbalGalaxy, and then making it so the parts either only spawn in interstellar space or embedded in very rare asteroids (perhaps E-class?) would be very interesting. You'd also need some specialized scanning equipment to do it though so its not just "pick the obvious alien tech floating out here that I can somehow see".

While browsing I found this Thread. Hopefully will hear back and start work on it soon as I am getting bored of building over complicated bases/stations. If it goes ahead I'll throw the links needed in here. Would also appreciate any any input on parts/story/things.
