Apparently scientist have found a force that is acting on certain leptons and not others, this force iis, of yet, to be defined by the Standard Model.

I wonder how this new force will affect symmetry?

Yeah, but my ignorance or I dont see it mastering any of the KSP force problems like how does A whack microwvae move a long aluminum square girder with a laser on it in some tinkerers garage, or how come space all of a sudden decided to inflate and perform the infinite improbability experiments with our favorite far away galaxies. Hopefully this will help to fill in a row of force modulators that Higgs started.

Only 2.1 sigma, so it could easily be a statistical fluctuation. Bigger signals disappear all the time when more data is collected. It's interesting, and will get a lot more study, but until that extra data is in and analyzed it's not a discovery.
