Internal resource distribution

As odd as this sounds, I wish we had the ability to pick which tanks fed which engines, which batteries fed which pods, and so on. I think that with something like that more complex designs could be made. Maybe a drag and drop pipe system with valves and stuff? Logic gates?

But you kind of can. With the fuel pipes and by transfering or locking the resource flow.

Why do you need that anyway?

Because external pipes look wierd, and they have drag. Internal piping allows for more aesthetic design, and less drag at the cost of mass. Internal piping also allows for more complex builds.
