An interesting little challenge for you.

All you need to do is get a UFO to orbit.

Simple, uh?

Well, maybe.

Here are a few rules...

1. Stock only and all the usual restrictions about part mods and no HE. Clipping is OK and may be essential, as is MJ and KER.

2. The craft must look like a UFO. You know the thing, two shallow cones, like a couple of hubcaps, basically a flying saucer.

3. The body of the craft must consist of at least one 3.75m Protective Shell built to it's maximum width. Vertical height of that I leave to you, as long as it looks like a flying saucer.

4. Just to make it interesting...it has to be an SSTO. Everything you start with (except fuel) makes it to orbit. UFOs don't stage.

5. An orbit for this has a Pe >75km, launched from the KSC.

6. It would be real tricky to ask for no engines to be showing (engines won't fire if occluded by a shell) but no great big nozzles sticking a long way down or long tail sections. Aesthetics are important, it won't be much of a flying saucer with a KR-2L+ sticking 3m out the bottom.

7. Super-Special-Friends points for cool looking saucers.

8. Picture or video proof of successful flight please.
