Speed challenge

i know that this is not a new challenge

but i really want to see if anyone can beat me

The challenge is land speed

you have to make a jet and try to beat my record

you can only use parts from the c7 part pack

and you are not allowed to go over 10,000m

My record is about 700 metres per second

The MET timer doesn\'t start counting until you leave the ground, so if it had started, it wouldn\'t be a land speed record.

I would say that your screenshot is just of the \'restart speed glitch\', you couldn\'t possibly reach that speed at such a low altitude, let alone while touching the runway.

If you miraculously did, could you provide the .craft file so that we can all learn the ways of the master jet man.

How is my fuel empty then? And how am I at the end of the runway? The craft is simply a cockpit, RCS fuel tank, and a hundred or so RCS thrusters placed on eachother, its pretty simple to make.

Edit: hmm, was an old screenshot and rcs thrusters have been nerfed a bit, it only reaches 600ms or so now..

Ah okay, sorry for jumping to conclusions, I assumed you weren\'t using a modded version. (The vanilla RCS tank would drain in seconds, would it not?)

I have made a similar craft using modded RCS thrusters, which got me into an escape trajectory from Kerbol.. :-[

They weren\'t modded, it was just the first version they were added in, they were quite a bit stronger. And it does drain in under a second, it just makes you go insanely fast for a short time.

Does it count if I take the speed reading about a millisecond before nosediving into the ground?
