Old vehicle archive

Problem: As you progress along making bigger and better vehicles, the SPH and VAB roster gets fairly cluttered. I don't want to delete old designs because I never know when I might want to pull something off-the-shelf from yesteryear and give it a slight modification vs. doing a re-design. Scanning though all those old projects looking for that one vehicle you are using is tedious.

Solution: The Kerbal Space Museum! Send those historic ships off to the museum and if you ever need it back on the roster, call it back into circulation. Basically, this is just an archive function, so I can de-clutter my active list of ships, without the permanency of delete. Bonus: Museum archive ships from Career are available to import into Sandbox.

The Modders can go on to enhance the Kerbal Space Museum with prestige earning, social media design sharing, and community ranking, etc. (Kids, this is the ship that first landed on the Mun in under 7 days elapsed!! Whoah!....)

Or you can just go to your save file and move your unwanted crafts to a separate folder. There is no access to the moved crafts from the game, but it is a cheap/easy solution for your problem, which doesn't require making a fancy mod...

I really like the idea actually. Having the same problem with craft list being cluttered.

Apart from them being archived they could also be sold for half of the price and/or give you constant rep every week or month, or whatever, just for standing in the museum. "Look, Mom! That's X-1! The first supersonic plane. I wan't to be just like Chuck Yeager."
